Write it in the History Books...

On my way to getting a quite tasty lunch at Taco Del Mar for Josh who had to work... and of course myself... I had the pleasure of meeting Officer Chamberlin. A very nice officer who decided I was going a bit too fast down Pittsburg Rd... A road I take as a short cut so I don't have to waste 4 minutes waiting at a light. Instead wasting about 10 minutes waiting to receive my very first ticket. That's right, I have been driving for almost 5 years with no ticket on my record... Now that was all about to change.
As soon as I saw his car I hung up the phone with my dad and pulled over. Officer Chamberlin came walking up to the side of my car... and being I had never been pulled over I was struggling to figure out which paper was my registration. "Ah, got it!" I proclaimed right before he got to my window. He was shocked it was my first time being pulled over and then headed back to his car with my drivers licence and registration in hand. As I waited I did what anyone would do in that situation, I sent a text to my dad. As the officer was walking back, with a couple extra papers that I did not hand pver to him before, he did a double take at my firefighter sticker and looked at me puzzled. "My dad is a firefighter," I said. And of course the officer knew my dad and said I should have told him before he gave me the ticket... He apologized several times before it was all said and done but in the end the ticket was already in the system and nothing I could do about that.
Now I sit here in a fort in the living room regretting not spending the extra $25 dollars to keep my firefighter license plates... which he would have obviously seen... now costing me $154...
